How I got here…
I was born and raised on a feedlot outside Ponoka, where days were shaped by animals, plants, and the rhythm of the land. Growing up on a large working farm gave me a deep respect for animal husbandry and a lifelong connection to growing things. Like most prairie families, we kept a sprawling garden, and tending it became one of the quiet joys that stayed with me.
Today, the tallow I use is sourced from Alberta ranchers. I work with sheep and beef tallow, and I’m hoping to welcome bison tallow into the craft soon.
My journey with tallow began in the winter of 2023. I started infusing it with Roughcut herbs, flowers, and the many plants I grow in my naturally tended gardens. A friend gifted me tallow from one of her cows, and from the moment I worked with it, I knew I had found something special. In 2024, I finally gathered the courage to share my creations with others — and I haven’t looked back.
It has been challenging, exciting, and deeply rewarding. A true adventure shaped by land, livestock, and the quiet magic of slow craft.

Well if you had told me I’d be doing this 6 years ago, creating a website, starting a new business with an online store and a brand that people are starting to recognize as a household must have, I wouldn’t have believed that I would actually have the courage to do this and yet here I am!
My life has always revoled around plants, animals and the magic that happens when we live in harmony with both… with growing & then crafting small-batch herbal remedies, I’ve learned that true strength and beauty come from nature’s medicine. Ranch Candy Tallow was born from my love of old-world wisdom and my belief that skincare should be as pure, simple, and powerful as the land itself. Every hand-crafted creation is infused with the same care I give my animals and gardens—rooted in integrity, authenticity, and connection.
When I’m not stirring up a fresh batch of tallow, you’ll find me in the arena with my horses, starting seeds for the next season, talking to plants, herding cats or chasing wild sunsets.
My mission? To bring you products that are as honest, healing, and full of life as the ranch they come from.
