These plants weren’t ordered or imported. They were grown right in Ponoka dirt. Watered by hand. Harvested in the same air the horses breathe.

I gather the calendula when the petals are at their brightest, dry them slow, and tuck them into sunflower oil until the colour deepens into late‑summer gold.
